So now I have a fresh installation of SuSE 8.2 with only a few add-ons. I installed hylafax from the distro (4.1.5-43). I have libtiff-3.5.7, zlib 1.1.4. Now I can already accept faxes from remote machines, I receive some tifs, but the resulting tiffs are still unusable as it looks like there is just one line of the transmitted document (there is only a narrow strip of the document on the screen). The received tiff has a small size and has been viewed on both linux/windows machines so I think the problem is in the process of creation of the tiff but don't know exactly where and have no idea how fix it :-( Tested with documents sent from different machines. Would anybody know what the reason of this behavior is?
