Hi all, I am new to this list and I start with an apology, if this post might be too long, but I am having some troubles with faxing out of an Access-application. Setup is as follows: SuSE 7.3 hylafax 4.1.34 WinXP clients, WHFC as faxclient, Apple Laserwriter16/600 as driver ghostscript 6.51-41 If I fax a "normal" Word doc (even +10 pages) no problems arise, but as soon as a 2 page document out of Access (a report) is printed, I am having next message: <<QUOTE>> Your facsimile job to xxxx xxxxxxxx was not sent because document conversion to facsimile failed. The output from the converter program was: %%[ ProductName: GNU Ghostscript ]%% [Job time limit exceeded] Check any PostScript documents for non-standard fonts and invalid constructs. ---- Unsent job status ---- Destination: xxxx xxxxxxxx JobID: 1742 GroupID: 1742 Sender: MyCompany Mailaddr: mymail@mycompany.nl Submitted From: 192.168.0.47 Page Width: 194 (mm) Page Length: 281 (mm) Resolution: 196 (lpi) Status: %%[ ProductName: GNU Ghostscript ]%% [Job time limit exceeded] Dialogs: 0 (exchanges with remote device) Dials: 0 (consecutive failed calls to destination) Calls: 0 (total phone calls placed) Pages: 0 (pages transmitted) TotPages: 0 (total pages to transmit) Attempts: 0 (attempts to send current page) Dirnum: 0 (directory of next page to send) ---- Documents submitted for transmission ---- The following documents were submitted for transmission and are available on the server for reuse until they are automatically purged when this job is removed. Documents may also be manually removed using the faxrm command; consult faxrm(1) for information. Filename Size Type docq/doc1722.ps.1742 667753 PostScript <<UNQUOTE>> I already have enlarged the postscript timeout setting in hylafax-config from 300 to 1200 seconds (in steps) but to no avail. Also the gs-process running on the machine is still there, taking up 100% of CPU-time, and so slowing down the other services on the machine (mainly samba and printing). My question: How can I find out if this is not something in the document itself, like hylafax suggests? What are invalid constructs, what do i have to look for in the .ps document? How can i start the conversion that ghostscript does, manually and follow the error messages (if there are any)? Or is there some log of gs? I could not find it. TIA Leen.
