Hello list, I have installed hylafax-server hylafax-client and capi4hylafax under Debian GNU/Linux "woody". The capi4hylafax*.deb is currently only avaible in Debian-unstable but I got an older pakage, which is according to my libc. On the hardware-side a AVM B1 card works in my server. Now I want to set up Capi4HylaFAX and HylaFAX. The problems looks as follows: Sending and receiving facsimiles with c2fax* isn't a problem. But sending faxes using sendfax returns error "Can not determine file type". This error occurs, when I try to send a .ps, a .tif or a .txt file, and even when I do like this: # sendfax -d NUMBER text text [...] /tmp//[...]: Can not determine file type. faxstat shows: # faxstat -v Trying localhost (127.0.0.1) at port 4559... Connected to CASSIOPEIA.local.lan. 220 CASSIOPEIA.local.lan server (HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.1.1) ready. -> USER root 230 User root logged in. -> PORT 127,0,0,1,130,153 200 PORT command successful. -> LIST status 150 Opening new data connection for "status". HylaFAX scheduler on CASSIOPEIA.local.lan: Running Modem faxCAPI (): Running and idle 226 Transfer complete. I can't use faxsetup, because it returns: # faxsetup Setup program for HylaFAX (tm) 4.1.1. Created for i686-pc-linux-gnu on Fri Aug 9 14:19:12 UTC 2002. Reading cached parameters from /var/spool/hylafax/etc/setup.cache. Checking system for proper client configuration. Checking system for proper server configuration. Setting Ghostscript font path in /etc/hylafax/hyla.conf. Make /var/spool/hylafax/bin/ps2fax a link to /var/spool/hylafax/bin/ps2fax.gs. Make /var/spool/hylafax/bin/pdf2fax a link to /var/spool/hylafax/bin/pdf2fax.gs. Update /var/spool/hylafax/status/any.info. Modem support functions written to /var/spool/hylafax/etc/setup.modem. Configuration parameters written to /var/spool/hylafax/etc/setup.cache. Done verifying system setup. So I can't input any data to faxsetup. The SendFaxCMD in the "config" is already set and a 'faxmodem faxCAPI' doesn't help. So, what can I do to use sendfax? Unfortunately Google didn't help me. Thanks a lot Sebastian ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To subscribe/unsubscribe, click http://lists.hylafax.org/cgi-bin/lsg2.cgi On UNIX: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@hylafax.org < /dev/null *To learn about commercial HylaFAX(tm) support, mail sales@hylafax.org.*
