You may want to check <hylafaxhome>/etc/hosts.hfaxd - you cannot 
retrieve the fax document, unless the IP address, hostname or domain 
name of your client system is mentioned here, e.g.

localhost
127.0.0.1
.*\.sld\.tld$
192.168
172.16
