Dan, I do not have this problem on my system, faxstat puts out the correct info without specifying a host. If you type 'hostname' what do you get ? The hostname is set in the 'Rendezvous Name' field of the Sharing system preference panel. If you type 'ping localhost' does it understand the host name 'localhost' ? Should be 127.0.0.1 which means your local system. This is set in /etc/hosts Chris >dumb, dumb, dumb.... > >[jake:~] admin% /usr/local/bin/faxstat -h 192.168.0.58 >HylaFAX scheduler on xxxx.xxxx.xxx.local.: Running >Modem cu.modem (xxx.xxx.xxxx): Running and idle > >I also successfully sent 2 test faxes (yahoo!!!) but I needed to >specify my actual IP address here on our lan for it to go. > >Can some one tell how I configure either hylfax or my system so that I >do not need to do this locally? > >Dan > >On Friday, February 7, 2003, at 01:26 PM, Dan Tappin wrote: > >> Hi Chris, >> >> I followed your instructions and patched the source file by hand.
