[hylafax-users] Problems with a new server.

**DISCLAMER**

I've searched the archives and didn't find anything that fit this
problem.

*************

I'm having a problem with our fax server.

Current setup.
RedHat 7.3 - fully patched
Hylafax 4.1.5
Multitech ISI5634pci 8 port card

Since we're in the first phase of this roll out, we only have four
modems active. We have two inbound numbers with the lines setup 3(main)
and 1(secondary).

The config for the modem is:
	CountryCode: 1
	AreaCode: xxx
	FAXNumber: xxx.xxxx
	LongDistancePrefix: 1
	InternationalPrefix: 011
	DialStringRules: etc/dialrules
	ServerTracing: 1
	SessionTracing: 11
	RecvFileMode: 0666
	LogFileMode: 0666
	DeviceMode: 0666
	RingsBeforeAnswer: 1
	SpeakerVolume: off
	GettyArgs: "-h %l dx_%s"
	LocalIdentifier: "Company name INC."
	TagLineFont: etc/lutRS18.pcf
	TagLineFormat: "From %%l|%c|Page %%P of %%T"
	MaxRecvPages: 25
	#
	#

	ModemType: Class2
	ModemRate: 19200
	ModemFlowControl: rtscts
	ModemNoFlowCmd: AT&K0
	ModemSoftFlowCmd: AT&K4
	ModemHardFlowCmd: AT&K3
	ModemRecvFillOrder: MSB2LSB # classic MultiTech

	Class2APQueryCmd: none # not available
	Class2BUGCmd: none # not available
	Class2NFLOCmd: AT+FLO=0

It will work fine for a few hours then go into a 'wedged' state with the
following:

An attempt to receive facsimile on ttyM1a failed because:

At which point the only option that works to unwedge the modem is to
reboot the server. I've tried reconfiguring the modem to use Class 1,
but it stopped answering the fax line. I've tried limiting the baud
rate, but that didn't help. I also installed a US Robotics external
modem on ttyS1 and moved the fax line in question over to that. It's
been running like a champ, but it's not a long term option(borrowed
hardware). Is there something in the script that's run for a wedged
modem that I should modify to fix this?

Thanks.
