Re: [hylafax-users] 3Com/USR Courier - Class 2.0 Stable?
I tried to setup with class 2.0, but the results wasn't good. I recommend
use with class 1

Greetings All,
I have just set up a pair of new 3Com/USR Couriers on HylaFAX version
4.1.5,
using Fax Class 1,
as that's what faxaddmodem script defaulted to.
This works, but about 1 in 20 faxes get rejected due to poor quality.
I read in the archives that Class 2.0 is more reliable, but that some
people
with older firmware
Couriers had poor results with it.
My Couriers have a firmware dates as follows: Supervisor 05/02/00 DSP
02/16/00 Supervisor
Rev. 1.0.6 DSP Rev. 1.1.9 DAA Rev.0012 -
- does anyone know if these models have reliable Class 2.0 firmware?
Thanks,
-John
