[hylafax-users] Waiting for modem to come ready

I checked the archives but didn't find any good post.
Before I used a Rockwell 144; after lightning struck it is a 288.
Never had that problem with the 144. No other changes, so it seems
modem-related

Howard asked for some parameters, here they are:
ATS25 = 000
ATS10 = 001

# Configuration for a Rockwell RC32ACL-based Class 2 modem.
#    Boca M1440E                firmware V1.000
#    SupraFAX v.32bis           firmware V1.000

... had been the previous one=flawless

# Configuration for a Rockwell RC288DPi-based Class 2 modem
# (should also work for 144DPi-based modems).
#    Microcom DeskPorte 28.8S   firmware rev V1.100K-V34_DS

... is the one that doesn't come ready (except kill faxgetty with
automatic restart through inittab). For the rest it works well.

Running Linux RH 7.2, hylafax-4.1-1rh7. I thought about updating, but
have done so many changes to the scripts that I am afraid of losing
everything ... !

Thanks for any hint,

Uwe
