It shouldn't take you weeks to figure out how to make Class 1 work both 
ways.  Class 2 problems quite often require manufacturer help, and 
*THAT* can take weeks.  This would be my recommendation.

Anyway, you can create a multi-class config file (just merge a class 1 
and class 2 config, omitting the "ModemType" line for the class you 
wish to *send* in).  You then use DestControls to set ModemType for the 
class you wish to *send* in.

Tricky, but not difficult.
