First off, sorry to everyone on the list for accidentally digitally signing my last message and if this caused some problems trying to open my message. Uhhh, Is there any reason why you don't print directly from the HylaFax server rather than printing out the Emailed file attachment? Unless this is a remote fax server, it would be a much easier to do this than use some other attachment format. Or why not change the unattended PC with no monitor to Linux? By the sounds of it, this is a printer server, and Samba/Linux Server will let you make a Windows compatible server without any bizarre prompting before letting things print. (Having a headless (no monitor) machine EVER give a prompt before printing just sounds wrong....) Good luck. --- Charles -----Original Message----- From: hylafax-users-bounce@hylafax.org [mailto:hylafax-users-bounce@hylafax.org]On Behalf Of Midshire Veterinary Sent: Friday, October 25, 2002 9:55 AM To: hylafax-users@hylafax.org Subject: [hylafax-users] Other graphic formats for received faxes Can Hylafax produce something other than a TIFF, PS or PDF file to send as an email attachment? Maybe a JPG or BMP file, perhaps, would be useful. I couldn't see anything in the notes about this - they specifically refer to these three types. Background: I am emailing the incoming fax to another system, and for maximum control (users not printing long faxes to expensive inkjet printers, for example) I'd like to have my software print the fax. Only problem is I am printing from a THEOS server to a Windows PC, and the Windows PC (an unattended PC with no monitor) will pop up a confirmation window when I try to print the file. If I could print JPG or BMP these are handled a different way by the printing software and would not give this problem. Thanks in advance.
