I'm currently running Hylafax on a redhat 7.3 system with 256mb ram, p2 300mhz. I'm also running a terminal server on the same box, with about 4 clients, and a fifth is connected via VNC. It was my old workstation at home, except I added some ram. It runs rather smoothly, and except for a few power outages at the office, has stayed up without hassle for about 4/5 months. I just recently added hylafax, we only process a few hundred faxes a day. Eventually this box is being replaced, but only because I want my machine back at home. At that time, I want to see about putting hylafax on our router which is running on a LEAF box, extremely lightweight, only 16mb diskspace, for loading into ram, at that point space becomes less of an issue, just a matter of adding ram. Anyone thinking of going that route should get with me, I'm rather interested in pursuing that matter... Hi folks, I'm want to set up an email and faxserver and I'm wondering what kind of Linux distri is best to use. I want to have a distru without all that gui-stuff and it should be run on a small machine (so it shouldn't be Suse, Mandrake or RedHat) I only need fax (hylafax) email (postfix) as well as capi4hylafax and all the necessary basic stuff. Do you have any suggestions?
