thanks for help.

I changed rights to drwxr-xr-x and I
used strace:

strace -ff -o straceout -e trace=file -p 2990

This didn't help. There was an empty file straceout.
How to stop strace? There was no information on 
manpage. I used ctrl-C. But eventually I destroyed
strace-buffer.

The problem is: hylafax worked a long time. After I changed
harddisk and probably other things it stopped working.
