[hylafax-users] waiting for modem to come ready



I have set up hylafax on a mandrake 8.0 machine and I have a US Robotics 
sportser voice faxmodem 33.6.
everithing seams OK but if I try to send a fax i.e.
sendfax -n -d 555678908 /etc/passwd 
faxstat says me: waiting for modem to come ready.
After a while faxgetty dies.
If I use minicom the modem works correctly.
