I hacked a little the notify.awk and wrote a perl script called ackheader
which modify  each page of the postscript file in the docq
as the notify is sent.

(a .SAV is presently left as this is not considered as stable, beware of the disk usage!)

the header added is like:

date - job: jobid - status: xxxxx - To: receiver  [receivernumber] - Page numpage/maxpage

the date is CEST, change the tzone in ackheader
you can minimize the load by not counting the maxpage (as the file is read twice)


this has been in production for only 3 days, but that works well.

for perl mongers who can't bear too much system() calls, I give a patch too
(thanks to Dan L.) which is not yet well tested but that should not cause any problem.
