Hans-Peter Jansen had the best-looking UNIX client that I've seen.  I've 
not tested it yet, though, and I don't know if it's publicly available.

You'll be better off only referring to the HylaFAQ as a historical 
reference, for the most part.  The HOWTO is much more updated, but 
still... the best thing you can do for yourself is to read the manpages.
