I've had the same problem using the same modem. The usual response to this
problem is "use class 1 - hylafax supports it better", but this modem
doesn't support class 1! I'm trying out a Banksia MyModem FaxModem as class
1 instead, and so far so good.

I think there is also a patch in CVS that you can apply that fixes how the
delays are handled by the modem in class 2. Can't remember where you find
this tho!

Hello.

I have HylaFAX V 4.1 on a RedHat 7.1 using a Multitech Modem
MT2834ZDXI.

faxaddmodem detects correctly the modem as a Class 2 modem
and uses the default script for Multitech.

When I try to send faxes to certain fax numbers I get an error "No
response to MPS repeated 3 times (code 52)".

For instance, see the session logs hereafter. How can I send faxes
to this particular fax machine ?

Only one page is sent, while the fax has 17 pages...
