Re: [hylafax-users] US robotics class2.0 modem error detected without successful handshake
I had lots of problems with a USRobotics 56k Fax Modem in Class2.0
You can try these things and see if it works any better:
1) Disable copy-quality since modem doesn't really support it very well.
MaxConsecutiveBadLines: 0
PercentGoodLines: 0
2) Disable adaptive-answering (handshaking problems with some fax
machines)
AdaptiveAnswer: No
ModemSetupAACmd: AT+FAA=0
3) Put a delay between the AT commands (problems with signal detect)
ModemATCmdDelay: 100
4) Put an X3 instead of X4 (problems with signal detect)
ModemResultCodesCmd: ATQ0X3
Although these changes made it work much better I continued to have
problems with some economical FAX telephones and so I decided to
configure the modem in Class1 by running faxaddmodem again and chosing
Class1. This seems to work much better !!
