I have routed incoming faxes to a machine running Omnipage Pro Ver. 11 and have found the OCR capabilities to be very acceptable. My intention (when I get a chance) is to write a script that attempts to analyze the resulting text and figure out who the fax was for. This bit isn't as easy as I thought. However, I've dedided that if my script can't work out who the intended recipient is then it'll just forward them all to the person within our company who normally deals with faxes arriving at a specific fax machine. What you want is OCR capability, so you can convert a graphical image (a fax) to text. I don't know the state of the art in linux, but OCR on faxes has almost always resulted in utter garbage for me. I would not rely on it for routing faxes. --Yan Sven Hummel wrote: >Hallo, > >I'm looking for a solution to route incoming fax to the >users.
