If so, is there a howto for the path apply stuff.  I have installed the
lastest Hylafax-4.1-1rh7 RPM for RedHat 7.1.

You could try increasing Class1SendEOPDelay (is it class1, right?) or
apply new patch by Lee which eliminates Class1SendEOPDelay and uses a
more correct method:
