some versions of the Kodak library can't open 2-D MR TIFF files. You
might change RecvDataFormat to 1-D MR or 2-D MMR (see man config).
Your modem might cause these troubles, too. Try to open a TIFF file
using any other TIFF viewer to verify, that the TIFF files are
stored in a correct format.
