[hylafax-users] Cannon L600, Panasonic UF-332-AL Handshake Problems
G'day HylaFax Users!
I've been using Hylafax for some time now, (hylafax-4.1beta3.1-rh6 rpm)
and alls been sweet (translation --> works quite well). except for 2 of our
clients fax machines ( a Cannon L600 and a Panasonic UF-332-AL ) They can't
seem to connect to our hylafax server.
(Which is:)
* 150Mhz Intel CPU
* 64M RAM
* D-Link DFM-560E/AU - 56K Fax/Voice/Data External Modem (Class 1 and 2)
* Rh6.2
* 2.2.14-12 Kernel
* libtiff-3.5.5-2
I have included a exert from a log file:
REMOTE HANGUP: Ring Detect without successful handshake (code 1)
ANSWER: Ring Detect without successful handshake
I have been running the fax server at 19200 baud, I changed this to 14400
(as I overlooked that the modem 'apparently' cannot operate at speeds faster
than this [Which it has, apart from these two machines]) and am about to
test this and see if it has rectified our situation.
My question is --- has anyone had anything similar occur with thier
installation, if so, how did you go about fixing this problem. (that is, of
course, if you did)
< Note: I have also turned up Logging, so i should have a more detailed log
report on my follow up posting >
Thanks ~!
Jay Langford
