The trick is to change the line at the end of the 'sambafax' script from

    sendfax -n  -f ${MailTo} -d ${FAXNUM} ${FAXFILE}

to

    sendfax -n -D -f ${MailTo} -d ${FAXNUM} ${FAXFILE}
