Jay that's interesting because, while I had my little issue (now resolved) I tried to get IE-5.x to prompt me via setting the appropriate security settings for the zone. at no time did IE-5.x prompt me. The dern browser keeps logging in as an 'anonymous user' with what (as LEE said) uses an E-maill addy as the password. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jay Langford" <jay@staffforce.com.au> To: "Lee Howard" <faxguy@deanox.com> Cc: <hylafax-users@hylafax.org> Sent: Friday, June 15, 2001 12:57 AM Subject: Re: [hylafax-users] Fw: hylafax-4.1beta2 & recv'd faxes > Lee, > > > How do you get it to work with "anonymous" user access? > > I didn't, i set the username in I.E 5.5, to a valid username (that is, one > that is listed in hosts.hfaxd) -> (When I went to log in (first time) I got > prompted for a username and password, i just entered a username (that is > listed in hosts.hfaxd) and left the password blank, and BinGo, It works.. > > File | Login As ...... > > ~ Jay ____________________ HylaFAX(tm) Users Mailing List _______________________ To unsub: mail -s unsubscribe hylafax-users-request@hylafax.org < /dev/null
