OK - is took out both the entries from /etc/inetd.conf and /etc/ttys

I tried running

hfaxd -I

which gives no response and ps shows nothing is running
but system log shows;

May  2 15:06:18 d HylaFAX[263]: getpeername: Socket operation on non-socket

each time I run the hfaxd -I command.

Any idea what I can do from here?
