Hi > I have an inkling maybe you've got a ttyS0/cua0 type problem between > faxgetty and faxsend; they should both be on ttyS0 (or whatever port it There shouldn't be anything set as cua0, everything I've configured relating to HylaFAX has been done with ttyS0 (and it's a Red Hat 7 box, so nothing else should be referencing cua0). If I try to send faxes without faxgetty running I get this message: FaxQueuer[2059]: JOB 1 (ready dest +44xxxxxx pri 127 tts 0:00 killtime 2:59:00): No assignable modem located I looked up some information on this error which suggested faxgetty needed to be running for the faxqueuer to work, so I started faxgetty on ttyS0, sent a new fax to the server and it produced this: FaxGetty[2354]: OPEN /dev/ttyS0 FaxGetty[2354]: MODEM USROBOTICS SPORTSTER V.34+ FAX / FaxQueuer[2059]: JOB 1 (ready dest +44xxxxxx pri 127 tts 0:00 killtime 2:57:26): PROCESS FaxQueuer[2059]: JOB 1 (active dest +44xxxxxx pri 127 tts 0:00 killtime 2:57:26): ACTIVE FaxQueuer[2059]: JOB 1 (active dest +44xxxxxx pri 127 tts 0:00 killtime 2:57:26): PREPARE START FaxQueuer[2355]: JOB 1 (active dest +44xxxxxx pri 127 tts 0:00 killtime 2:57:26): CONVERT DOCUMENT: bin/ps2fax -o docq/doc6.ps;01 -r 196 -w 1728 -l 297 -m 4294967295 -1 docq/doc6.ps.1 FaxQueuer[2059]: JOB 1 (active dest +44xxxxxx pri 127 tts 0:00 killtime 2:57:26): PREPARE DONE FaxQueuer[2059]: JOB 1 (active dest +44xxxxxx pri 127 tts 0:00 killtime 2:57:26): CMD START /usr/sbin/faxsend -m ttyS0 sendq/q1 (PID 2359) FaxGetty[2354]: ANSWER: Can not lock modem device FaxSend[2359]: MODEM USROBOTICS SPORTSTER V.34+ FAX / FaxSend[2359]: SEND FAX: JOB 1 DEST xxxxxx COMMID 00000681 FaxSend[2359]: SEND FAILED: Can not setup modem FaxQueuer[2059]: JOB 1 (active dest +44xxxxxx pri 127 tts 0:00 killtime 2:57:10): CMD DONE: exit status 0 FaxQueuer[2059]: JOB 1 (sleeping dest +44xxxxxx pri 126 tts 0:00 killtime 2:57:10): SEND INCOMPLETE: requeue for 2:00; Can not setup modem FaxQueuer[2059]: JOB 1 (sleeping dest +44xxxxxx pri 126 tts 0:00 killtime 2:57:10): SLEEP FOR 2:00 The only other thing I noticed, but I suspect isn't related to the problem, is that where FaxSend lists the "SEND FAX: JOB 1 DEST xxxxxx...." it shows the correct destination number I entered, but all of the other places the number is shown, it lists it as +44 followed by the area code of the server, followed by the full number of the destination. Is there any other kind of debugging output I can send that would be useful?
