[hylafax-users] config help - UMC 9624,2,E,290E 14.4

Hi everyone.  I'm trying to get an old UMC 9624,2,E,290E 14.4 Modem working
(it goes under the name of "Exar" or "Aceex" instead of UMC sometimes,
usually model DM-1496V).

Does anyone have a functioning config file for this modem?

Appropriate mgetty "init" strings are at:

I thought that it would perhaps work with the 'umc92144' or 'exar'
prototype config files, but it doesn't.  The 'exar' config can't even
initialize it, resulting in a "wedged" error.  Using the umc92144
prototype, the modem initializes and can receive faxes okay, but when
attempting to send a fax, it results in a "Can not setup modem" error.
Following is the log on the attempted fax sending.  Can somebody give me a
pointer on this?  Thanks.
