[hylafax-users] Graphics problem

Hello everyone,

I get following problem: while the text pages get received
fine, the pages with lots of graphics or in general lots of black
have a problem. It's weird because the page goes through the
sending machine OK, the sending fax machine beeps three times
(indicating transmissions is done) and then hangs for a few seconds.
tail -f on logs says "page not received" and the sending machine
prints "SEND RESULT = NG (04)".

The only evidence I have is this timeout:

FaxGetty[19998]: RECV FAX (00000074): session with <UNSPECIFIED>
terminated abnormally: T.30 T2 timeout, expected page not received

The faxmodem is brand new US Robotics 56K Message Modem (model no.
5668). But the problem and behavior of Hylafax is the same that I
had with Multitech 2834 previously so I suspect this is a problem
with Hylafax. Hylafax is 4.1beta3. In addition, if I set the US
Robotics modem to Class 2.0 it can't get connected at all! (message
"Ring detected without successful handshake"). After setting modem
to Class 1 text pages get received but pages with more black on
it don't.

Second problem: how to make hylafax not delete the incompletely
received pages? Didn't find anything in man config on the
subject.
