I'm looking into a different approach entire. There's a package called ReportLab that's, effectively, a Python API to PostScript, which produces Acrobat-compatible PDF files. It looks like it might be a solution for *a lot* of the things people have wanted to do over the last couple years, including both batch-faxing and fancy cover pages -- complete with memos. I have to dig into the C code in coverpg (or is *that* C++ too <grumble>) and see what exactly it does, but I've got 4 hours or so I'm not using tonight. More later, I think. Cheers, -- jra -- Jay R.
