[hylafax-users] Many MPS/EOP errors

I often have trouble succeeding to send a fax the first attempt,
using HylaFAX4.1b2 on a Linux RedHat 5.2 machine with kernel 2.2.14.
The modem I use is a internal Dynalink model 1428VQH-T which has an
AT&T HSM288xCF/CL2 chip. I use it as a fax class 1 with rtscts (hardware)
handshake.
What happens is that the first and/or second attempts to send a fax
usually fail with a "No response to MPS or EOP repeated 3 tries" error.
This is what my log looks like:

So far, as soon as the other fax accepts the second page, it will accept the
third,
fourth and so on.
I can imagine that one remote fax is broken, but this happens with many
remote faxes...
Any clue is welcome, digging the FAQ's did not yield clues _sniff_ :-(

Thanks for any advice,
Willem
