More Information: Oh, I do remember a posting stating that IO cards which did NOT use an IRQ (ie; used POLLING) were sometimes problematic in that they took too long to perform their polling and would sometimes drop data (ie; too much overhead). So although it's tempting to 'save' an IRQ by using one of these type cards, on a busy system you may have problems using a polled IO card.
