flexfax: Missing EOL

Hi there,

I am running Slackware 7.0, v2.2.13, hylafax 4.1beta2, whfc 1.0.7, prolink 
33.6 ext fax modem (remarked "Class2" in config.ttyS0), sending from/to 
Canon fax machine FAX-T21.
Everything works fine, can fax from server, can fax from win9x client using 
whfc 1.0.7.
However, the server cannot receive faxes. The error was "missing EOL".
I ran the patches and the error still exists. Everything else works as normal.

I checked the thread and saw that this "Missing EOL' is actually a bug.
I downloaded the protocol-rtn.patch by Dimtry Bely created on 29 Mar 00

I ran:-
patch -bp0 --verbose <protocol-rtn.patch (on the root of my hylafax 4.1beta2)
./configure
make
make install

I did not run the faxsetup as I think only the binary need patches and not 
the configuration settings. Do I need to re-run the faxsetup?

Anyone else faces this problem and have a fix for it?
Any suggestions/pointers would be greatly appreciated.
