RE: no response to mps?



Well.... Apparently I am the unfortunate user of a USR modem.  I was
thinking of replacing it with a MultiTech T5600ZDX.  MultiTech seems to be
the modem of choice in this group.  Anyone have experience with this model?

This bug (redundant RTC) could lead to the error in your case. Try to apply 
RTN patch... BTW, if you use USR modem, nothing will possibly help you :-))

Means that the remote fax has not acknowledged the page reception. There
are *many* possible reasons for that (from unexpected line disconnect to
various firmware and software bugs)
