Hi, We're using Sendmail 8.9.3 and HylaFAX 4.1b2 on a RH6.1 Linux box as a mail to fax gateway. Occasionally mail to the gateway is bounced with the following error: faxmail: 425 Cannot create data socket (127.0.0.1, 4558): Address already in use... 554 hylafax@012-3456789 fax... unknown mailer error 255 How can I make sure this error does not occur? Is it a configuration error in Sendmail or HylaFAX or a bug? Is it absolutely necessary that the data socket always is on port 4558 rather than an arbitrary free socket? Would a passive connection solve the problem? If so, where can I find some documentation about this feature? Thanks in advance for any help! Regards, Bastiaan Bakker LifeLine Networks BV
