Hello everybody, i'm running <HylaFAX (tm) Version 4.0pl2> on FreeBSD 3.4-STABLE with a <MODEM ZYXEL E2864/V 3.00> connected to serial port 1 (/dev/cuaa0) of my ASUS P5A MB, BIOS V1009. In the beginning of my HylaFAX-adventure i could not send anything until i found that "PageChop"-problem in the Mailinglist archive. Sending works fine now, but for a few weeks now, i can't receive anymore.... I *have* received faxes already for sure and i'm not aware to have anything changed (but the PageChop parameter to "none") but the log-file now reports: [...] Feb 13 11:41:18.99: [ 1207]: <-- [7:AT+FDR\r] Feb 13 11:41:20.56: [ 1207]: --> [20:+FCS:1,5,0,2,0,0,0,0] Feb 13 11:41:20.56: [ 1207]: REMOTE wants 14400 bit/s Feb 13 11:41:20.56: [ 1207]: REMOTE wants page width 1728 pixels in 215 mm Feb 13 11:41:20.56: [ 1207]: REMOTE wants unlimited page length Feb 13 11:41:20.56: [ 1207]: REMOTE wants 7.7 line/mm Feb 13 11:41:20.56: [ 1207]: REMOTE wants 1-D MR Feb 13 11:41:20.98: [ 1207]: --> [7:CONNECT] Feb 13 11:41:20.98: [ 1207]: RECV: begin page Feb 13 11:41:20.98: [ 1207]: RECV: send trigger 022 Feb 13 11:41:20.98: [ 1207]: <-- data [1] Feb 13 11:41:21.18: [ 1207]: RECV/CQ: Invalid BlackTable code word, row 0, x 0 Feb 13 11:41:21.18: [ 1207]: RECV/CQ: Bad 1D pixel count, row 0, got 0, expected 1728 Feb 13 11:41:21.18: [ 1207]: RECV/CQ: Invalid BlackTable code word, row 1, x 0 Feb 13 11:41:21.18: [ 1207]: RECV/CQ: Bad 1D pixel count, row 1, got 0, expected 1728 Feb 13 11:41:21.18: [ 1207]: RECV/CQ: Invalid BlackTable code word, row 2, x 0 Feb 13 11:41:21.18: [ 1207]: RECV/CQ: Bad 1D pixel count, row 2, got 0, expected 1728 Feb 13 11:41:21.18: [ 1207]: RECV/CQ: Invalid BlackTable code word, row 3, x 0 Feb 13 11:41:21.18: [ 1207]: RECV/CQ: Bad 1D pixel count, row 3, got 0, expected 1728 Feb 13 11:41:21.18: [ 1207]: RECV/CQ: Invalid BlackTable code word, row 4, x 0 Feb 13 11:41:21.18: [ 1207]: RECV/CQ: Bad 1D pixel count, row 4, got 0, expected 1728 [...] and so on. 'faxgetty' hangs and nothing happens any more. I sent with the same machine (my laptop, also with HylaFAX) to conventional faxmachines without a problem. Also when receiving from the laptop with my main machine under OS/2 FaxWorks, everything is OK. Otherwise faxgetty hangs on my main machine even when receiving from conventional faxmachines - that's what got my attention the first time. The same happens on my machine @work, same software, different hardware, same problems. And I tested @work both directions with a traditional faxmachine, and it worked some time ago! Has anybody solved that problem or has a hint where to look? Ciao/BSD - Matthias PS: I did a control installation with plain FreeBSD 3.4-RELEASE - same problem! ---------------------------------- Matthias Schuendehuette <matthias@mscu.snafu.de> Solmsstrasse 44 Date: 14-Feb-00 D-10961 Berlin Time: 17:07:12 This message was sent by XFMail + FreeBSD 3.4-STABLE ----------------------------------
