polling: Remote is not T.4 compatible

Hello,

I configured Hylafax as fax server

My problem is:
when polling specific machines with an USR Modem,
communication breaks down using Class 1.
Polling with Class 2 leads to absolutely no results.

The Log file says:
Class1: Remote is not T.4 compatible [log file attached]
Class 2.0: Unspecified Phase C error, including too much delay
between TCF and +FDR command (code 90) [log file
                  not attached]
A few months ago, there was a similar question posted to the
mailing list, I tried the solution provided there but it did not work.
I also tested same modem with another machine running WinNT
4.0 and Winfax 9.0 and the poll was succesful.

As I am clueless about how to proceed and what to try, I would
appreciate any help!

Thanks very much in advance.

Bye,
Alex
