The mgetty package has similarly named commands that do similar things, such as "faxrm" to remove fax files from the outgoing fax queue. If you want HylaFAX, remove mgetty first. If you want mgetty to have things vgetty for the voice tools, you'll need to look a bit deeper and see how to get those mgetty tools without the mgetty fax handling.
