platform Linux (Suse 6.1), hylafax, faxgetty ============================================ Hello, my external modem ("Arowana", 57,6 , 1/2 year old, Texas Instruments-chipset) faxes frequently thin strokes in confused order in then second part of some of my faxes thant I send. Who can help? Thanks in advance, Ekkard Further data : 1. using Linux, Hylafax, faxgetty 2. The thin strokes that appear on serveral receiving stations. The fault is with the sending station (my modem). The fault happens with 9600 baud or with 14400 baud (tested with an old 9600baud-receiving station and with an newer one with 14400) 3. The thin strokes are dependant of the format of the fax. The errors I have detected so far always occured with letters with standard letter format: sender, receiver, place & Date on the top. When I delete the sender and receiver on my letter the fax was sended without error (=fine strokes) !!!! 4. I can send the fax for serveral times. The error occurs each time. The error is 100% reproduceable. 5. faxgetty doesnt detect any fault. In /var/log/messages there appears "... done ..." as if all would be all right. 6.
