flexfax: FW: problems with passwords

i dont seem to be able to access the faxserver

i have checked /var/spool/etc/hosts
and it contains 1 line 127.0.0.1
which i thought meant anyone should be able to access the service

but if i telnet into the server
i say user sam
or whatever and its fine
i type admin
and it says the password is incorrect


what could i be doing wrong

any help gratefuly received
