Fax send by sendfax is corrupted

Hi there,

I have been trying over to set up a Hylafax fax server over the
past week or so. I have made tremendous progress since I
started, but I still can't send fax from Hylafax's sendfax
without corrupting the output. (Receiving is OK)

I set up 2 Linux box to do the testing. Both Linux boxes use
USR modem (33.6 & 56). Both modems have broken Class2.0
implementation, so I use Class 1 instead.

The 1st box houses the Hylafax server (Box1). For testing
purposes, I use both the Hylafax package and the efax package
here. However, I don't use these 2 packages at the same time
to receive faxes for obvious reasons.

The 2nd box (Box 2) contains only the efax package. It is used to
facilitate the testing of the Hylafax server.

The experimentation involves sending a tiff file between
these 2 machines (By using tiff file, I eliminate
file conversion problems). The results are summarised below:

Sender Receiver Status
------ ------- ------
Box2 w/efax Box1 w/efax OK
Box1 w/efax Box2 w/efax OK
Box2 w/efax Box1 w/Hylafax OK
Box1 w/Hylafax(sendfax)	Box2 w/efax Corrupted

Observation: efax works perfectly, so the problem is not likely
to be coming from the modem.

I suspect the problem lies in faxgetty. Is it possible
to turn off faxgetty and still get Hylafax to work
(As a send-only fax server)? If so, how?

For those who are interested to help me out, here's the gory
details (Hope I provide enough ;-):

Thanks,
Pek Yong
