Please take your questions to the maintainer of that RPM. If software is truly beta, it should only be used by people with the system management skills to do first line diagnosis. > but I have not yet been able to find any proper information as to how one > should direct mail to the fax queue. Then only info I've found is that the > format would be faxnumber@your.domain.com, but when sending a mail like this > it only bounces as user unknown. I assume there has been no change since the released versions, which are adequately documented for their target audience (and certainly for anyone using a beta on their own initiative) with the exception that the sendmail instructions have a couple of typos, and, in any case the sendmail configuration macros now do a better job of this configuration than following the instructions would have. The sendmail.mc generated sendmail.cf expects the address to be <user_name_for_front_page>@<faxnumber>.fax, but also allows aliases from arbitrary addresses. The same format is used by the smail configuration documented in the release. Generally hylafax is documented on the basis that the user is a traditional Unix system manager; anyone producing binary versions has a responsibility to write additional documentation suitable for plug and play users.
