Hi David, You are right, I changed the speed to 19200 baud, now it works. But after sending a fax the modem status changes to " waiting for modem to come ready". I had to restart faxgetty process. Modem flow control is set to xonxoff. I tried setting hardware flow control, it locks the modem. Modem type is " Netcomm RoadStar 336". How to getaround this problem? Either you have the interface speed set at less than 19200 bps, or the machine is overloaded. WHFC will be a red herring.
