squashed lines

hi

I have spent many not very fruitful hours on this problem.

Redhat 5 on a 2.0.31 kernel
rpm hylafax-4.0pl2-3rh5.i386.rpm

The rpm installs fine and all I need is to add usernames to the etc/hosts
file and I can fax.

Problem is the lines come out bunched up and squashed and sometimes only
the top or bottom of a line is visible. Even the Local identifier line at
the top of the page is in half.

Here is the config file (it has errors but has worked for many months with
those same errors. Also I enclose a tracing of the fax that went through
but with squashed lines.

Thank you for any help with this trying problem.
