hylafax on Freebsd
I've been trying to use hylafax-v4.0.2 on FreeBSD 3.2-STABLE. I've tried
both the FreeBSD Port and manually compiling it. In either case heres what
happens:
if I start hfaxd with hfaxd -I it dies and here is the syslog
Jun 17 11:15:29 testbed HylaFAX[80438]: getpeername: Socket operation on non-socket
if I start hfaxd with hfaxd -i 4559 -o 4557 -s 444 here is the syslog

already in use

I have no other tcp or udp service bound to port 4559, the machine only has
2 addresses loopback and the ethernet, no ip aliases. no tcpwrapers or firewall
rules to affect this.
my debuging of c++ isn't up to scratch ( haven't done it in 5 years ).....
any ideas or questions ....

When things can't get any worse, they simplify themselves by getting a whole
lot worse then complicated. A complete and utter disaster is the simplest
thing in the world; it's preventing one that's complex. (Janet Morris)
