Linux kernel 2.0.33, hylafax 4.0pl1 (from the libc5 rpm hylafax-4.0-6), Modem MultiTech MT1932ZDX. The modem has been "recognized" by hylafax, and it's using the template config file for: MultiTech MT1432, MT224BA, MT1932ZDX. All is ok, but sometimes a fax sent to a number is sent to another one. Maybe this is a modem related problem, and HylaFAX has nothing to do with it. Please, tell me what you think about this, because the customer is a bit upset! :( The fax should go to number 011-7710190, but it goes to 011 6173202; this is not systematic and not related to this particular number (the following faxes for 011-7710190 went to it) The ATDT command reports a number, the remote CSI says it's another one. Note that 011 6173202 is the fax number of a job that failed just before the job for 011-771019: 1) fax to 011 6173202 (failed for no-answer) 2) fax to 011-7710190 (that went to 011 6173202) 3) retry of fax at point 1, 011 6173202, that succesfully goes to 011 6173202. === log of point 2: May 05 10:26:48.00: [ 6039]: SESSION BEGIN 00001967 390117710190 May 05 10:26:48.00: [ 6039]: SEND FAX: JOB 893 DEST 011-7710190 COMMID 00001967 May 05 10:26:48.00: [ 6039]: DELAY 2600 ms May 05 10:26:50.61: [ 6039]: <-- [17:ATE0V1Q0X3S0=0H0\r] May 05 10:26:50.82: [ 6039]: --> [16:ATE0V1Q0X3S0=0H0] May 05 10:26:50.82: [ 6039]: --> [2:OK] May 05 10:26:50.82: [ 6039]: <-- [21:ATS8=2S7=60&E4&D3&C1\r] May 05 10:26:51.04: [ 6039]: --> [2:OK] May 05 10:26:51.04: [ 6039]: <-- [12:AT+FCLASS=2\r] May 05 10:26:51.25: [ 6039]: --> [2:OK] May 05 10:26:51.25: [ 6039]: <-- [10:AT+FTBC=0\r] May 05 10:26:51.46: [ 6039]: --> [2:OK] May 05 10:26:51.46: [ 6039]: <-- [10:AT+FBOR=0\r] May 05 10:26:51.67: [ 6039]: --> [2:OK] May 05 10:26:51.67: [ 6039]: <-- [13:AT+FPHCTO=30\r] May 05 10:26:51.88: [ 6039]: --> [2:OK] May 05 10:26:51.88: [ 6039]: <-- [24:AT+FDCC=1,5,2,2,0,0,0,0\r] May 05 10:26:52.10: [ 6039]: --> [2:OK] May 05 10:26:52.10: [ 6039]: <-- [5:ATM0\r] May 05 10:26:52.31: [ 6039]: --> [2:OK] May 05 10:26:52.31: [ 6039]: <-- [12:AT+FCLASS=2\r] May 05 10:26:52.62: [ 6039]: --> [2:OK] May 05 10:26:52.62: [ 6039]: <-- [10:AT+FTBC=0\r] May 05 10:26:52.93: [ 6039]: --> [2:OK] May 05 10:26:52.93: [ 6039]: <-- [10:AT+FBOR=0\r] May 05 10:26:53.24: [ 6039]: --> [2:OK] May 05 10:26:53.24: [ 6039]: <-- [13:AT+FPHCTO=30\r] May 05 10:26:53.55: [ 6039]: --> [2:OK] May 05 10:26:53.55: [ 6039]: <-- [24:AT+FDCC=1,5,2,2,0,0,0,0\r] May 05 10:26:53.87: [ 6039]: --> [2:OK] May 05 10:26:53.87: [ 6039]: <-- [26:AT+FLID="+39 0131 361611"\r] May 05 10:26:54.19: [ 6039]: --> [2:OK] May 05 10:26:54.20: [ 6039]: DIAL 0117710190 May 05 10:26:54.20: [ 6039]: <-- [16:ATDT0117710190@\r] May 05 10:27:12.58: [ 6039]: --> [5:+FCON] May 05 10:27:15.04: [ 6039]: --> [36:+FNSF:00 00 75 01 02 03 20 40 00 FF ] May 05 10:27:15.04: [ 6039]: REMOTE NSF "00 00 75 01 02 03 20 40 00 FF" May 05 10:27:15.04: [ 6039]: --> [28:+FCSI:" 011 6173202"] May 05 10:27:15.04: [ 6039]: REMOTE CSI "011 6173202" May 05 10:27:15.04: [ 6039]: --> [21:+FDIS:1,3,0,2,0,2,0,4] May 05 10:27:15.04: [ 6039]: --> [2:OK] May 05 10:27:15.04: [ 6039]: REMOTE best rate 9600 bit/s May 05 10:27:15.04: [ 6039]: REMOTE max pag .... the log continues with the fax sent ok. ===== It's not that the other fax is misconfigured and report a wrong CSI, the fax was really sent to another fax number. Please, don't tell me simply to upgrade to 4.0pl2. I'd like to know whether it is hardware or software related. Thanks. -- Giulio giuliox@tin.it
