RE: Misc. ramblings about older USR modems



One can upgrade the firmware on a US Robotics modem by going to their website at address
http://consumer.3com.com/modem/upgrades/index.php.  A piece of software there will connect to a
telephone line via your modem to upgrade the modem's firmware.

This was a big problem for me and I'm using a USR 33.6.  We upgraded the modem and it worked
mostly fine.

That's where your problems are coming from, almost certainly.  :-)

Can you get upgraded ROMs for this modem?
