Try looking at the ModemClass command on the config man page, create a 
group 'any' that excludes the modem you only want to receive with.

There are two patches that might help - the tagline patch and the 
speed-reduce patch, both available here:
        http://www.trump.net.au/~rjc/hylafax/

Zxyel modems seem to have the above problem much more often than other 
modems, one model had a firmware fix specifically to do with the above 
situation, you might also want to look into that.

PS If you are getting the above with a large percentage of sends please 
check your hardware an software setup.
