ciao, the "data format" entries of all the reports of hylafax (action logs, e-mail confirmations, ...) have values of 1-D MR 2-D MR but a little research in docu's of standalone fax machines and fax data formats in general, never explain a format "1-D MR". only the format "1-D HR" exists. the "H" stands for "Huffmann" (-compression). in fact, after some testing with different standalone fax machines (configured to send/receive in 1-D only), these machines reported (no exeption) "1-D HR" formats, but HylaFAX's report was always "1-D MR". summary: only transmissions in "1-D HR" and "2-D MR" and never in "1-D MR" and "2-D HR" should be reported ... i think, hylafax is doing this missinterpretation ...? (btw. this has no direct effect for a proper transmission, but it's confusing in error reports) cheers, al -- snail: Alain Berger,Telekurs Payserv AG,Hardturmstr.201,CH-8021 Zrich email: bga@payserv.telekurs.com voice: +41 1 279 33 29 fax: +41 1 446 74 61
