flexfax: Faxgetty doesn't answer the modem

I'm running hylafax on Linux, sending works, but faxgetty doesn't answer
the modem.
If I start minicom on my faxmodem and I call the modem I get the RING
message. Typing ATA the modem picks up and I hear the typical sound.

Where can I find out what faxgetty does when it gets a RING?
Where are the configuartion points for reception (I already have
RingsBeforeAnswer = 1)?
