flexfax: missing libfaxutil.a

When I compile with hylafax-v4.0pl2 with 'make' it complains
 that  there is a missing libfaxutil.a that is used by faxalter, faxsend

and faxcover, etc...

I set up the hylafax per instruction in the web page, and successfully
'make' tiff-v3.4.

I use all the default setting by the 'configure' setup script.

Any idea, why I miss the libfaxutil.a library?
