I'm not subscribe to this list so please respond to brian@litzinger.com or brian@worldcontrol.com. I've been using Hylafax for years. I've run into a fax machine which I just can't successfully send more than 1 page to. It is a nice modern HP multifunction fax, printer, copier, etc. I've been sending faxes for years to a myriad of faxes. I'm running: HylaFAX v4.0pl2 FreeBSD -current,elf,CAM,SMP gcc 2.7.2 ZyXEL 1496E with 6.12 firmware If I send the machine a 2 page fax, or coversheet + 1 page, I get Nov 04 03:25:11.95: [14694]: SENT 13269 bytes of data Nov 04 03:25:11.95: [14694]: SEND 1D RTC Nov 04 03:25:11.95: [14694]: <-- data [9] Nov 04 03:25:11.95: [14694]: SEND end page Nov 04 03:25:11.95: [14694]: SEND send MPS (more pages, same document) Nov 04 03:25:11.95: [14694]: <-- data [2] Nov 04 03:25:28.27: [14694]: --> [5:ERROR] Nov 04 03:25:28.27: [14694]: SEND recv RTN (retrain negative) Nov 04 03:25:28.27: [14694]: <-- [7:AT+FDT\r] Nov 04 03:25:34.28: [14694]: --> [20:+FCS:0,3,0,2,0,0,0,5] The HP ends up with a fine copy of the 1st page. In fact, it will end up with 9 copies, as Hylafax tries 3 times, and each try tries to send the 1st page 3 times. I've since been using '-t 1'. Any ideas what is wrong? -- Brian Litzinger <brian@litzinger.com>
